Kaakum Karangal on 28 April 2010

April 28, 2010 - Evening at around 5.30 PM me and my friends stepped into this orphanage @ Porur, Chennai. About 35 children who are left alone by their parents are taken care of by an Aunty and her family. They all shouted my name as they know me very well. The reason is they have one friend who is named "Jansi". :) This was my fourth visit.

We started with a small prayer and then taught them a few songs. "Manam suthi suthi varudhae thaanaa" action song attracted them all. They wanted to do it again and again. They made me dance more than enough. :)

Some young guys started performing a skit which conveyed a wonderful message "Don't run behind what satan shows, but run for Jesus and live the life He wants" in a very funny way. I was not able to see someone without showing his/her teeth. Their smiles filled my heart even now as I write this blog.

When I asked them to tell moral for the skit they played, they nearly spoke like adults. They nearly conveyed things which we wanted to emphasize.

Very awesome news came from Aunty that 'Bhupathy' whom I loved so much celebrated his 12th birthday. Luckily we went there with cakes to distribute. So we sang 'Happy Birthday' with the cakes for all of them. I would like to add something more about Bhupathy. Though he is so young, he believes in Christ completely. I always liked to hear this boy praying like a scholar in Bible with such a sincerity. He prays powerfully with many unfamiliar superior words from Bible which I myself never use normally. He plays band too and is a wonderful boy who smiles so cute. He prayed for us! May God bless him.

Our hearts were paining when we heard that the document for that place where they all stay was taken away by a heartless person who escaped surrendering it in a bank for mortgage loan and now the bank wants them to pay 25 lakhs before 30th of April, otherwise Government would announce auction over it. My God! What will happen to these kids if that happen?! Kindly remember this in your prayers as they desperately need prayer support.

Finally after taking some snaps with them we left as we had to reach our places. :(

Kids are wonderful. :) I learn many things from kids always. Yesterday they taught us many things! They take care of one another which amazed me and my few friends. They all wake up normally at 4 AM and pray for everyone who has helped them thus far! Another wonderful thing about these little angels is, they all learned to speak Telugu to bring up a small boy who doesn't know their mother tongue, Tamil! No wonder why Jesus loves children so much!!!

Our prayer support and financial support would lead each one of them as a brilliant student.

I'll post a few snaps and the address of the orphanage shortly. In the meantime, if you would like to visit or talk to them, please contact Aunty Grace at + 91 984 172 5306.
